  • Stop Before you DROP!

Please note that this form must be completed before the Drop Deadline for the term. Withdraws made after the deadline may not be processed.

Financial Aid - Dropping courses can affect your Satisfactory Academic Progress Status and your eligibility for financial aid. If you drop a course, you will receive a grade of “W.” This grade counts in the “attempted hours” versus “earned hours” that the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy uses in calculating your status in determining financial aid eligibility. Please review“Keeping Your Aid” on the Financial Aid homepage. Dropping below full-time status could affect NCAA athletic eligibility, visa status, veteran benefits, or Tennessee HOPE Scholarship. If you drop to part-time status (under 12 hours) without obtaining prior permission from the Institutional Review Panel, you will lose the HOPE Scholarship, and you cannot get it back.

PLEASE NOTE:  This form will electronically go to your advisor and instructor for approval. This course cannot be dropped until the advisor and instructor have approved.

  • Course for withdraw

  • When a financial aid recipient withdraws from a course, the federal government can require some of your student aid, including loans and Pell grants, to be returned. Please note this can create a balance due on your student account that must be repaid immediately. If you receive a refund after withdrawing, be prepared to repay up to that full amount for up to 30 days. Confirming your intent to return to attend your next scheduled class may help you avoid this outcome. (Signature Acknowledgment required below.)
